signs 2

These machines are placed in some towns and there are traffic wardens who patrol looking at the tickets displayed.  If you don't have one or if the time has expired, you get a ticket.  This machine is one of many in Donegal Town.  Dungloe doesn't have any.

  9. These machines are nasty little beggars. The city makes sure they get all the money out of you that they can.

  10. When I first saw these machines it took me a minute to figure out how they worked, and then they sometimes determined where I would avoid parking.

  11. Here you can pay with your cell phone. A checker comes around and types in your phone number and sees if you've paid or not. Seems like a sign is easier and faster.

  13. We have them here too! Nothing is free today!

  14. Some are difficult to work. Last week one rejected my credit card three times. I moved to the machine next to it and it accepted my card first time.

    God bless.

  21. It really helps the convenience of having a ticket machine like this. This good idea can be an example in other cities, or also in other countries.
    Regards.
