These machines are placed in some towns and there are traffic wardens who patrol looking at the tickets displayed. If you don't have one or if the time has expired, you get a ticket. This machine is one of many in Donegal Town. Dungloe doesn't have any.
visit Tom to see more signs from around the globe
We have ticket machine similar to that one,,pay or get fined.
ReplyDeleteThats one I haven't seen before.
ReplyDeleteGostei deste olhar.

Reminds me of the way things are here in Canada. In fact it is exactly the same procedure.
ReplyDeleteI see these same machines in the cities near me, a common sight to see.
ReplyDeleteTake care, have a happy day!
We have the same thing. The ones on the streets are quite reasonable.
ReplyDeleteI wish all of those things were gone. Who has change for them these days?
ReplyDeleteLooks familiar Bill ✨
ReplyDeleteNice photo
ReplyDeleteYep, they nag is with that, too, here. Luckily we can walk to the city!
ReplyDeleteYes, this is one that seems to be universal. I've seen many of them here.
ReplyDeleteThese machines are nasty little beggars. The city makes sure they get all the money out of you that they can.
ReplyDeleteWhen I first saw these machines it took me a minute to figure out how they worked, and then they sometimes determined where I would avoid parking.
ReplyDeleteI like it.
ReplyDeleteHere you can pay with your cell phone. A checker comes around and types in your phone number and sees if you've paid or not. Seems like a sign is easier and faster.
ReplyDeleteI believe we have a 10-minute grace period after our parking ticket has expired.
ReplyDeleteWe have them here too! Nothing is free today!
ReplyDeleteSome are difficult to work. Last week one rejected my credit card three times. I moved to the machine next to it and it accepted my card first time.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
We dont have parking machines like these here Tom, usually there is either a parking Booth or on smaller time corners, a parking attendant :)
ReplyDeleteEs el método de cobrar los estacionamientos de los cohes aparcados.
ReplyDeleteThe bylaw people here are pretty ruthless about that.
ReplyDeleteWhere we live parking is free. Bigger towns around have these machines as well.
ReplyDelete...we have those in the city too, fortunately I rare have to park in the city. Thanks bill for joining the party.
ReplyDeleteWe have parking attendants who will ensure you pay up. But at most places it is park for free.
ReplyDeleteIt really helps the convenience of having a ticket machine like this. This good idea can be an example in other cities, or also in other countries.
ReplyDeleteRegards.
I recognize the sign, ours are very similar along with the machines.
ReplyDeleteVery similar to ours too in Sydney.
ReplyDeleteHave never seen this before. Here they put parking meters at the parking spaces and you put money in them.
ReplyDeleteAll done with apps in my area these days.
