I came across this disk when I was walking one day in Killybegs.  It was located just off the main street.  It commemorates the 400th anniversary of Flight of the Earls in 1607.

school started last Monday and the tractors are back.  There were two more parked across the road.  Must be a spendy ride to school.  Petrol is not cheap, currently, €1.86 per liter.

when the Diamond in Donegal Town was being upgraded, they got this new water machine.  So if you visit make sure you take your water bottle to refill it and it's free.  Now you don't have to purchase water from the store, saves you some money.

Out for a walk, we passed this old water hydrant.  It's an antique, green-painted cast-iron Glenfield & Kennedy water hydrant and drinking fountain featuring a decorative lion's head motif, manufactured in Kilmarnock, Scotland, around 1900.  Freestanding fluted cast-iron pillar design distinctive molded lion's head spout where water flowed.  Foundry inscription reading "Glenfield & Kennedy Ltd., Kilmarnock"

Island House

Island House (Teach an Oileáin) is a landmark three-storey civic and enterprise building located on Shore Road in Killybegs.  The facility features a ground-floor tourist information and visitor reception area alongside digital enterprise and office spaces on the upper levels.  It was developed as a focal point of the Killybegs Regeneration 2040 Project.

leaving the Killybegs Harbour.  You will enjoy the views as you travel from the fishing town of Killybegs, along the dramatic shores of Muckross, through the Gaeltacht village of Kilcar, and on to the inspiring sea cliffs of Sliabh League—among the highest in Europe.

The tour lasts about 3-3.5 hours and cost  €60 for adults and less for kids.  The tour is limited to 12 people.

cans or plastic bottles have their own machine to collect and process the returns.  It prints out the receipt when you're done and you can use it in the store.  Nice and easy and no mess like back in the old days.
