skywatch friday - different style
not your typical Irish house, reminds me of Southern California with all those trees.
seen on the road R241 heading to Greencastle from Moville.
It does look Californian until you see the stone wall. It's always a surprise to see those tropical plants in the north. I'm surprised that we have some native cactus in Washington.
Not what I imagine when I think of Ireland for sure, but it is impressive! (And as untraveled as I am, my imagination is quite limited sadly... that's why I love blogging, I learn so much .)
Hi Bill.
ReplyDeleteThat's nice living there.
Groettie from Patricia.
Maybe built by an Americain with Irish roots? :)
ReplyDeleteA beautiful house and they must have a great view from up there.
ReplyDeleteDeve ter uma vista fantástica esta casa.
ReplyDeleteUm abraço, bom fim-de-semana.

Very unusual indeed, I would never have guessed Ireland.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a tropical setting but Ireland never.
ReplyDeleteLovely home with a scenic view. Palm trees in Ireland?
ReplyDelete...beautiful rocky view.
ReplyDeleteSuch pretty landscaping!
ReplyDeleteIt's all so beautifully landscaped and with the blue sky one could be forgiven for thinking of a more tropical location than Ireland!
ReplyDeleteIt's gorgeous! Maybe it belongs to a southern California mogul?
ReplyDeleteDoes look rather tropical Bill, an unexpected but super find!
ReplyDeleteI like the landscaping too and how it sits up there on the hill. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteAn inviting looking place.
ReplyDeleteYou are so right, that does look more like California than Ireland. What an interesting place.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely house!
ReplyDeletePalm trees?!? I'm amazed.
ReplyDeletePerhaps not typical, but how gorgeous, Bill!
ReplyDeleteI'm with Andy and RedPat. Palm trees? Really? :-)

ReplyDeleteHa, you could be in the Hollywood Hills.
ReplyDeleteI haven't been to Ireland since the 1970s, so I really don't know what an Irish home is like these days.
