This is the Unite the Union Transport House in Belfast,. Photos were taking in Oct 2015. The info below I found on Wikipedia.
Unite the Union, commonly known as Unite, is a British and Irish trade union, formed on 1 May 2007, by the merger of Amicus and the Transport and General Workers' Union. It is the largest trade union in the UK and Ireland.
I searched for some info on this sculpture but couldn't find any. It's quite interesting though, I like it!

It's very powerfully done - almost an army like workforce and I like the historical images.
ReplyDeleteTHat is a very nice sculpture in front of the building and I've never noticed it before.
Nicc finds, Bill. They show a lot.
ReplyDeleteFantastic murals, a lot to see.
ReplyDeleteNice mural but the artist had a difficult form to work with. Not a wide surface but all kinds off little not really connected surfaces. Still nice work.
ReplyDelete...there is no missing this one!
ReplyDeleteIt appears that the mural shows the various trades involved in the union. I also like that sculpture. Hopefully, the union will stay strong. The Republicans and Trump are trying their best to destroy what's left of our unions.
ReplyDeleteInteresting sculpture and mural. So many things to look at here.
ReplyDeleteI like it. It has a modern design but I really like all the people represented.
ReplyDeleteA merger between Irish and English unions.. how is that working out Bill? Excellent mural, that's a huge endeavour!
ReplyDeleteThe mural work is quite vivid.
ReplyDeleteIt's good to see women on the mural. That's not a given everywhere, even today.
ReplyDeleteI like large murals that incorporate the complete side of a building.
ReplyDeleteI like the mural & the sculpture a lot, Bill!
ReplyDeleteQuite the colorful building.
ReplyDeleteA lovely corner for outdoor art, which I always enjoy.
ReplyDeleteMore anonymous art! I just came from Lois' blog where she posted beautiful work from an unknown muralist. Yours is very fine, too.
ReplyDeleteLovely photos and amazing art, Bill! Thank you so much for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThe mural looks very East German like....
ReplyDeleteProbably a trendy style again now.
