Bill I am always impressed when I see in your photos a perfectly clean Ireland. Over here where I live there are people that leave their trash any place they feel like it.
It looks as though they've been very thorough. Our village employs a man to pick litter up and there are many others, like myself, who help out from time to time.
Thank you to people like the two volunteers in your perfectly composed photo, Bill. I also wish there was no need for anyone to pick up litter. Yesterday I overtook a stationary bus; as his fares alighted, the driver threw an empty takeout punnet out of his window. I couldn't help it: I blasted the hooter ; immediately thinking how my dear hubby would admonish me for antagonizing a busload of people while I am an elderly woman driving past on my own. Thank you for your visits to my blog. Have a great day. Jo
Are they volunteers? If so, they really deserve an award. Today we had a strong tropical storm, after days of yellow skies, with a lot of dust depositing coming from Africa. Good and happy spring days, Bill. ~~~~~~~~~~~
Yes, what good people. We did that for a couple years on our road, until we both developed knee issues. I'd like to try again though. We see a lady who walks miles every day picking up litter along a highway. She's thin as a rail, and will probably live forever. Such a nice person.
Hola Bill, deberíamos ser más limpios y no tirar las cosas al suelo.
ReplyDeleteFeliz semana.
Saludos
What a perfect photo! Thanks to that two volunteers.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful picture
ReplyDeleteAs you say, it's a sad reflection on society that they need to do it, but kudos to them for taking on the task.
ReplyDeleteIt is sad that people have to do this. Here if we get caught we have to pay a fine.
ReplyDeletePity indeed but glad that there are volunteers.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you, people must be educated!
ReplyDeleteIndeed, we thank them.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
...now that the snow has melted, there is litter everywhere here!
ReplyDeleteThank you! We need more people like them.
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteIt would be nice if the littering was stopped. I am thankful for the volunteers.
Have a great day and happy new week!
We need fines for littering, just how do that. Also dog poo...
ReplyDeleteI fail to understand what´s going on in some people´s minds.
Too many people are thoughtless.
ReplyDeleteGreat to see them out doing this. They are always looking for volunteers here too.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean. As the snow disappears here, we do the same across the island. Sad but necessary.
ReplyDeleteThere are always litter-bugs. Glad to see the crew of cleaners.
ReplyDeleteSo true! There is no excuse for littering.
ReplyDeleteThese are very valuable and special people, I respect them... Happy sunday Bill:)
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately slobs are everywhere. Good street photo.

ReplyDeleteIt's good that we have volunteers to pick up garbage. It would be much better if people didn't throw their garbage all over the place.
ReplyDeleteIt's wonderful we have volunteers.

Agree with you
ReplyDeleteBut they do a very good job
Lo propio sería, que cada persona que pasa por la calle, echara los desperdicios, en las papeleras habilitadas, con tal fín.
ReplyDeleteBesos

ReplyDeleteEverywhere people throw rubbish on the streets and roads.
ReplyDeleteBut we need to educate the population to prevent this from happening.
Bill, have a nice week.
Greetings.
Genial fotografía es bueno tener limpios los parques. Te mando un beso.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful street capture!
ReplyDeleteGreat people!
ReplyDeleteMy son recently volunteered at a beach cleaning campaign.
Happy Monday, Bill!
We need such people to teach others about cleanliness.
ReplyDeleteGood people.
ReplyDeleteawesome....
ReplyDeleteI'm glad they are there; sad we need them.
ReplyDeleteFelizmente o altruísmo ainda existe! São factos assim que me restituem alguma fé na humanidade...
ReplyDeleteAdorei ver! Um grande abraço!
Ana
