house by the lake
on our walk last week to Dungloe Lake, we saw this house in the distance and decided that would be our destination. It took about 45 minutes to get there. The hills around there are very rocky so the rocks that we saw around the house looked like they were there naturally and maybe bleached. I could be wrong but it was interesting to see regardless. We didn't see any people so we don't know if the house was finished or inhabited.

ReplyDeleteWe have much much snow today here in Bergen Norway and very Cold so it is good to see Your spring shoots!
A lonely place to live there.
ReplyDeleteIt's a lovely mansion; yet secluded a bit. Where's the nearest pub, Bill?
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
The rocks in the foreground are wonderful.
ReplyDeleteHello, the view is beautiful. What a big house. Wishing you a happy healthy new week!
ReplyDeleteThat was a good substantial walk Bill. It looks like a pretty new build, fabulous forest of trees in the background 🌳
ReplyDeleteHi Bill.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful setting.
Greetings from Patricia.
I'm pretty certain that the rock outcrop is Limestone which is naturally very white. Limestones weather like that naturally as water dissolves away lines of weakness in the rock. The area known as The Burren in Co Clare is famous for this kind of scenery.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful place
ReplyDeleteNew house, not quite finished yet?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful house in an incredible location.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice Sunday and keep safe and well
Great rocks, and the house owners have made perfect use of them to enjoy the scenery, and add their own little (?) bit!

ReplyDeleteBig house. Beautiful scenes and a great spot for the house.
ReplyDeleteEs preciosa la cas, pero lo que me gusta es la cercanía que tiiene con el lago. Desde sus ventanas deben de tener buenas vistas a él.

The home seems larger as the camera goes around it. What a place!
ReplyDeleteYou obviously took the scenic route on this walk. This house has an excellent view.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful house and lovely captures too.
ReplyDeleteThat's a really interesting setting. That solid rock...I wonder if it's a limestone formation, like in the Burren? It looks almost like snow at first glance.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful house! It looks strong willed with just it on its own. Stay Safe Bill!

ReplyDeleteI think it is very nice with those rocks,
ReplyDeleteMy husband the travel planner (another Bill) always has to have a goal to reach when we go for a walk or hike. You had a great one. ( I always especially enjoy those goal-oriented outings, but on the other hand, can walk around the block afew times, kind of like a hamster in a cage, and feel OK just because I walked. )
ReplyDeleteLovely shots and views over there! Peaceful place and beautiful house
ReplyDeleteLooks some lovely weather for a walk …
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed all of your photographs.
All the best Jan
