the road
on the right leads to the old St. Cathrine Church ruins and graveyard which I posted back in Sept.
The remains of stone structures can stay with us for a long time. I always have to stop and think about the people who used this over the hundreds of years.
… today I also take my only way to the forest! :)
ReplyDeleteNice shot!
Inspiring photo. Thanx Bill.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Ha Bill, mooie rustig plek. Mooie foto.
ReplyDeleteGroet Kees.
No leaves on the trees anymore, winter is coming...

...did you take the path less travelled?
ReplyDeleteSuch a stunning photo!
ReplyDeleteI want to enter and seek what is behind this beautiful stone entrance.
It's magical Bill 💮
Interesting view of "you take the high road, and I'll take the low road..." The one winding up definitely seems a challenge.
ReplyDeleteHi Bill.
ReplyDeleteNice place for a cemetery.
Greeting from Patricia.

ReplyDeleteA nice area for a walk.
ReplyDeleteIt's looking very wintery!
ReplyDeleteA quiet place to take walk and explore the ruins! I love such roads
ReplyDeleteI wish we had wooded roads like that around here. I would probably get out and walk more if I had somewhere interesting to walk to.
ReplyDeleteI like how the tree is silhouetted against the sky.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful entrance
ReplyDeleteBill, well captured fall photo complete with bare trees and great fall light.
ReplyDeleteA very nice photograph, but that incline does look fairly steep!
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
They had to put in some effort to get to church in the old days! ;-)
ReplyDeleteA terrific shot, Bill!
ReplyDeleteIt’s a beautiful area!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shot! What a lovely spot.
ReplyDeleteSuper composition Bill, naked winter trees are so beautiful 💙
ReplyDeleteLonely path to the graveyard, literally and metaphorically.
ReplyDeleteCertainly looks like winter is coming soon and I have also visited a local cemetery recently.
ReplyDeleteI wonder where that path leads?
ReplyDeleteThis is a charming photo, Bill. Have a nice week.
