Good photos of important work! I was born in a small town on Lake Michigan that used to have an equally small-fishing-activity, way back when. I still miss the boats, and the screeches of the seagulls as they followed the boats back to harbour at the end of the fishing day. You could set you clock by that noise and activity;
Now this is a life that is completely foreign to me. I do not know a single fisherman nor is there much of this type of thing going on here even though I live 1 mile from the pacific ocean. I love seeing how other people live.
Wonderfully, beautiful scenes Bill. Love the activity and the normalcy of everyday life in Ireland~
ReplyDelete...thanks, a sight that I wouldn't see here!
ReplyDeleteNice slice of life Bill.
ReplyDeleteAndy say it already. Nice one Bill.
ReplyDeleteTrabalhos necessários.
ReplyDeleteUm abraço e bom fim-de-semana.

We work the nets with our avian monitoring, just a different kind of net, but the maintenance is equally important.

ReplyDeleteHello, great captures of the fishermen hard at work. Happy Friday, enjoy your weekend!
ReplyDeleteAhhh...just like home!
ReplyDeleteAndy said it best . . .
ReplyDeleteThank you . . .
Great to see a bit of your “slice of life” . . .
I like clouds
ReplyDelete(not that that is pertinent)
Nice captures on the activity on dock
ReplyDeleteThat is a hard life!
ReplyDeleteA fisherman's life isn't easy, long hours in all weather! Love the fishing boats in the background Bill.. happy weekend ✨

ReplyDeleteExcellent photos!
ReplyDeleteSomething tells me this would be very tedious work.
ReplyDeleteI really like these pictures of fishing boats and the fishing nets on the dock. I wish I could live by the sea again.
ReplyDeleteThe dramatic sky in that first shot really stands out.
ReplyDeleteI like how these pictures are so interesting to me but to them it's just another day of work.
ReplyDeleteLove these shots, with the detail in the foreground and the beautiful skies!!
ReplyDeleteWell, that is really interesting. I love to see parts of everyday life there...so different from what we see here in the midwest. xo Diana
ReplyDeleteI like these shots. Very much. Being a fisherman is a hard job.
ReplyDeleteThat's patience on a grand scale...and a lot of work! Such interesting shots!
ReplyDeleteLovely photographs.
ReplyDeleteIt's not easy being a fisherman!
All the best Jan
