In both B&W and color photos, this house is quite striking. The long driveway gives it additional charm and dignity. I particularly like the color photo because of its composition and a bit closer view. The symmetry of the facade is lovely, too.
I wouldn't want to shovel snow off that driveway! But it would probably be worth it to get to that beautiful house! Nice shots, Bill! I prefer the color in this instance. Not sure why, perhaps because the house is white and needs some color surrounding it. :)
I like both shots. Each is very nice in its own way and it's good to have them both to compare. I love the colors and balance in the first one and the way the shapes and perspective are highlighted in the second.

ReplyDeleteI prefer the first photo too, nice composition. I see the leaves have all fallen now.
ReplyDelete...a lovely place to call home.
ReplyDeleteI like the position you took the photo from.
ReplyDeleteI must say that the color one gives me the feeling of Ireland. The B&W not so.
ReplyDeleteA pretty shot, I prefer the first photo.
ReplyDeleteWhat a magnificent home. I wonder what kind of trees those are?
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty place and such a big house. The trees all are looking very winter-like.

ReplyDeleteGosh isn't it lovely Bill, love the tall, naked winter trees ✨
