Leo's Tavern is a restaurant and pub in the Donegal Gaeltacht, known as the home of music artists Clannad, Enya and Moya Brennan. The pub opened in 1968 and held Irish traditional music sessions nightly, becoming the musical starting block for the children of Leo Brennan, the pub's founder.

I remember Clannad. Love the Guinness advert.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Nice ones and indeed the Guinness is a strong one and who haven't heard of Clannad.
ReplyDeleteThat's a Guinness ad that I've never seen before; it should be better known.
ReplyDeleteFabulous post. Happy new year đ
ReplyDeleteI remember that Guinness ad from long ago, and being baffled by it, as a little kid!
ReplyDeleteInteresting signs and info on the pub.
ReplyDeleteNever heard of the singers but the signs are attractive.
ReplyDeleteNice idea to help kids. A Guinness, though - nighty-night...
ReplyDeleteOh, that last one gave me a laugh. Such a fun one of the collie too!
ReplyDeleteI love Celtic music and I know those artists. If I remember Anya was a member of Clannad.
ReplyDeleteHi Bill.
ReplyDeleteBright, fun plates.
Greetings from Patricia.
The pub sounds nice, I like the signs too.
ReplyDeleteTake care, have a happy day!
Good signs, Bill.
ReplyDeleteI do like the signs.
ReplyDeleteLove Guinness sign.
ReplyDelete...it sounds like pubs and Irish music go together well. My Goodness, My Guinness is a GREAT one. Thanks Bill for coming to the party, take care.
ReplyDeleteFun signs all...especially the last. Poor guy...and I doubt highly that the ostrich is enjoying his stout. Sorry, no knowledge of the singers.
ReplyDeleteI'm reminded of Enya's music. I haven't played it in a long time. I need to listen again.
ReplyDeleteThey are fun!
ReplyDeleteLove the signs. I loved Enya's music and need to get my CD's out and play her songs again.
ReplyDeleteI have always like the Guinness signs. These are classic. The photography sign is a bit odd. Always enjoyed the music of Enya
ReplyDeleteEnya was my favourite Irish singer. Now I can add Clannad and Moya. I was listening to them on youtube. Beautiful voices and beautiful melodies.
ReplyDeleteGreat signs! Enya…Yea!
ReplyDeleteThanx For The Giggles Mr Bill - Much Appreciated
ReplyDeleteCheers
Well, I love Clannad, Enya and Moya Brennan so I'm thinking I might like Leo's just fine!
ReplyDeleteI have a feeling that that would be a fun pub to visit!
ReplyDeleteThe last two signs are really interesting :) I like using these instead of modern signs:)
ReplyDeleteHad to look two of the names up as I had never heard of them. I visit any day.
ReplyDeleteSome of my favorite artists right there. Wow.
ReplyDeleteAnd the cover photo--Wow, too.
I'm an admirer of Enya, I have some of her albums, but I never thought it was important to look at her origins... I've just been reading Wikipedia. I found it very interesting to be from a family of musicians from Donegal.
ReplyDeleteGood evening, Bill.
~~~~~~~~
Great.
ReplyDeleteVery good post, Bill!
ReplyDeleteHave a good night from Brazil.
Greetings
Some nice signs!!
ReplyDeleteOut of these 3 signs, I had seen the last one (Guinness) in other places.
ReplyDeleteMe gusta el cartel del perrito. Te mando un beso
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of guinness I've tried it once and wasn't really a fan of it, it tasted a bit like liquid marmite or vegemite, if you have it there but I'm thinking real Irish guiness is probably quite nice.
ReplyDeleteMust be a fun place to hang out!
ReplyDeleteHaha they are very good signs :-D
ReplyDeletelovely signs....
ReplyDeletegreat shots
Nice selection of signs.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
