we were on a bus the other day and the road work was still going on with no end in sight. There are lights set up to allow people travelling in the opposite direction a chance to go forward. The red light was set for 4 minutes and it seemed to last forever. Less than 2 minutes to go.
Fim de estrada.
ReplyDeleteUm abraço e boa semana.

They do a lot of work there.
ReplyDeleteNice then that there is a second counter.
ReplyDeleteWhy is it they do roadworks in busy towns and streets? My not do them somewhere else like in forests, deserts, or by the sea or on mountains where no one goes?
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
I came across situations like this when I drove buses. The end results were always worth the delays.
ReplyDeleteWorks on the road always seem eternal. Or maybe they are. Works on the road everywhere.
ReplyDeleteOne sometimes just has to be patient.
ReplyDeleteWhat's the reason for the road work? Are they going to fix some underground pipes again? I guess we have no choice but just be patient.
ReplyDeleteIt does take a lot of you from time to time. Progress isn't as fast as one might think. Great shot!
ReplyDeletePlenty of those lights around here too, though not with timers displayed. The job's got to be done.
ReplyDeleteHola amigo!!
ReplyDeleteSiempre hay que salir con tiempo, por si te pasa imprevistos como estos, que te hace demorar. Aunque no es mucho 4 minutos, pero se hacen eternos si estas apurado. Paciencia.
un beso Bill!!
I’ve never seen a traffic light on a visible time. Until now!r
ReplyDelete...the work never ends.
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteThere is a lot of road going on now, We just passed workers holding the slow/stop signs. Take care, enjoy your day!
With such a long light, it's good that it shows a timer for the impatient driver.
ReplyDeleteThere is a similar process here in places where detour routes are not possible.
ReplyDeleteThat really is a long time to sit at a light, probably felt like an hour.

ReplyDeleteCheers
Those red lights seem to take forever Bill, especially if you arrive there just as it turns red 😉
ReplyDeleteThese days it blows my mind when I see massive road projects which cost billions.
ReplyDeleteFour minutes seems like a long time to have to wait at a light.
ReplyDeleteMust be a busy street.
ReplyDeleteThat 4 minutes would feel really long if you didn't have that timer visible!
ReplyDeleteLas obras son necesarias, pero una molestia para los que pasan por ahí.
ReplyDeleteJeez that seems like a long time!
ReplyDelete4 minutes is a long time!!! Nice though that there is a countdown for you.
ReplyDeleteBuena foto ojala acaben los trabajos te mando un beso
ReplyDeleteWhen will it all end?? we have I-91 that has been under construction for 30 years.
ReplyDeleteFrom your photo I would say that red light is never going to turn green. It's the problem of road work, it seems endless.
ReplyDeleteThat seems a long time 4 minutes.
ReplyDeleteThey do seem to last forever, we've got a few happening here over Winter.
ReplyDeleteThat must have felt like an eternity to sit at a light.
ReplyDeleteCool photo, Bill.
Signals at the road work site are a good idea.
ReplyDeleteTambém passei por um lugar em obras ontem... e estive imenso tempo aguardando, que a luz autorizasse a prosseguir viagem!
ReplyDeleteGostei imenso da imagem, que tão bem mostrou a situação! Abraço!
