The river may look shallow to me but I will better be on the river itself than on those rocks because I am very much afraid of tripping or slipping. But that is such a beautiful sky above these patient fishermen :)
I hope they clean up their trash and do not leave strands of monofilament line waiting for birds to become entangled. I am sure there are responsible fishermen but slobs seem to make up a good percentage of them.
Fishing started here on May 1st, late but welcome. It is hugely popular here and people who haven’t fished in a while are back at it. Two months of isolation will do that to some people. I don’t know how long I’d have to be in isolation to resort to fishing to get out of the house. Not two months though. It looks so relaxing in these scenes.
We have seen people fishing in the river near our apt and have spoken to them. It seems it's just the act and activity of being outside and not the actual catching anything that maters to most of them, especially now. Do you also go fishing, Bill?
The spring fishing season is underway. It is something we can do to get outside and still enjoy social distancing. Never thought actually catching fish was an important part of this activity.
We used to fish the farm ponds a lot when we were kids. We never ate a single one of the fish- it was catch and release-they were bullheads and kept the ponds clean. lol
Wonderful views, Bill. Although I would not stand that close on the rock.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
I think only you men have so much patience for fishing!
ReplyDeleteLots of fun!
Have a great Sunday, Bill!

Greetings from Patricia.
A peaceful pastime Bill 🐟
ReplyDeleteA lovely way to spend the day☕
ReplyDeleteFor some reason, the second pic allows me to imagine life in your little village. Hope they brought home dinner.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if they had any luck. At least they were surrounded by nature's beauty.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful place for a fishing!
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice place to go fishing.
ReplyDeleteIt is a good excuse to stand by a river and relax. Catching anything is just a bonus!

ReplyDeleteI used to fish when I was young but not these days.
DeleteHi Bill, beautiful nature. The weather was beautiful for fishing. Greetings Caroline
ReplyDeleteLooks chilly. A few people around here fish in the Mississippi but more in stocked lakes in parks. I'm sure tour rivers are cleaner.
ReplyDeleteNo sé como te habrá ido la pesca. Las capturas fotográficas son muy buenas.
ReplyDeleteBesos

ReplyDeleteI think for many a fisherman it's not the fishing but being out in a beautiful spot on a nice day. What a nice combination of space, time, and nature.
ReplyDeleteLovely to see these two photos with the people fishing, wonder did they catch anything.
ReplyDeleteIt certainly looks a beautiful spot to go fishing.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
