When we moved there in 1985, I walked my children through the English Market in Cork. The sight of fresh catch being cleaned and sold (mostly to restaurants and shops) was invigorating. For my kids, not so much.
Excellent photo...but don't you wonder about a shop that advertises "Fresh Fish"? I mean, really, if they had old moldy fish, would they put that on a sign in front of their store. Gotta kinda assume the fish is fresh. But then again, maybe not. Take a survey of the town's citizens and find out how many have gotten sick after eating this "fresh fish." OK?
Indeed is the facade not so inviting for customers so the sign is a good hint. Now hoping that there are some passers by.
ReplyDeleteThere is something fishy going on here. ><(((('>
ReplyDelete...the signs are right to the point.
ReplyDeleteAnd you can eat it outside on the bench :)
ReplyDeleteYou are recording history with all your wonderful photos, Bill. Thank you most sincerely.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Fun for me to see the street and I love the stone work and architecture. Have a nice day.
ReplyDeleteThat old street looks like a step back in time.
ReplyDeleteI like to buy fresh fish. Salmon, for instance, or trout.
ReplyDeleteHi Bill.
ReplyDeleteNice quiet street.
Groettie from Patricia.

Nothing fancy, but fresh!
ReplyDeleteI'd be right in there!
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen any fresh fish signs since I lived in California near the beach.
ReplyDeleteI like the slice of life you show us in your blog.

ReplyDeleteThere's no doubt what's being sold there!
