It used to be a common sight in my village before the riding school closed down. It must be a lot milder than it is here - the thought of going out in just a T-shirt gives me the shivers!
Hi Bill, happy happy New Year. Just looking back on missed posts, absolutely love the nautical reflections you picked for the theme, excellent choice 💙
A one horse powered vehicle. Love it!! My kids were at a rodeo one time and so they rode their horses into the small town and rode right up to the drive thru window at the local Dairy Queen----after ice cream I imagine MB
There is one of the long parks along one of our ravines where you see horses but other than that it is only police horses who always are happy to stop and visit for a bit!
Fun shot, Bill. And it reminds me that HITS will be hitting our town this month with most of the riders looking much like this one. Re a faux dog: Trump has issued an executive order to start a breeding program for fake dogs. He can't tell the difference.
I had to chuckle...one day on the road near our house we saw a horse and rider as well, but this was in full cowboy regalia and so different from your English rider! :-)
Hello, Bill! Cool shot of the horse and rider. Great critter photo. So sorry I am late commenting. I am just back from a trip away and catching up. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Enjoy your day and week ahead. I also appreciate your visit and comment.

Horses and buggies are part of daily life here in the epicentre of Mennonite culture in Ontario.
ReplyDeleteA well trained horse to walk through traffic.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
He looks determined to find his way :)
ReplyDeleteBetter to find the green hills I think.
ReplyDeleteSeeing a rider and horse in my neighbourhood would be very rare sight.
ReplyDeleteThis was a great capture. Happy weekend.

ReplyDeleteIt is a rather common sight here. Always nice to see.
ReplyDeleteIt would be a surprise to see a horse and rider in that area. Good for being ready to get a photo.

ReplyDeleteThe only time you see horses in the city are parades or the odd carriage ride outfit.

ReplyDeleteWe have a riding school close by so can often see riders and horses around.
ReplyDeleteIsn't this horse a nice colour.
All the best Jan
Good capture! The rider looks suited up for a horse race!
ReplyDeleteNormally we would see them here along country roads or on the beach.
ReplyDeleteThat's a surprise. We get riders in our neighborhood but it's rural and there are trails nearby.
