Looks like the Star of Hope has had too many close encounters with the dock! But it is a great thought for the New Year, although I think the world needs more than celestial help.
Just the right combination of light and darkness in your first photo. As to the second, I agree the world needs a large dose of hope this year. I hope people will stop killing each other in the streets and on the battlefields of the world.
