transporting

baby salmon to the fish farm which is located over the hills in the background.  They have been doing this all week.

scooping up the baby salmon from the truck

heading to the fish farm which is located just past the hills

heading back for another load.  It takes about 10 minutes roundtrip

  3. Farmed salmon is hardly the tastiest fish in the world, and there are some indications it may not even be healthy.

  5. I hope the salmons have a better seat than the one I get when travelling. Last week the bus was so crowded I had to stand.

    God bless.

  10. Well, that's something I've never seen before. Very interesting. I had a friend/relative who raised salmon in northern California. But I don't know how that venture ended up. Nice shots here. Love that harbor! Are you happy in your new digs?

  12. I'd heard about the remarkable migration of salmon, but never realised it included a helicopter flight!

  16. I guess these salmon go out to see later and come back to this river to spawn when they are ready. Brilliant way to allow their numbers to recover.
