When we first moved here in 2015, phones occupied this spot and offered a couple of people shelter from the rain.
Sept 2018, no more phones and the beginning of erecting a bus shelter
the pole could use a new sticker.

Hi Bill.
ReplyDeleteNice bus shelter has become.
There are also no more phones on the street here.
Groettie from Patricia.
You sit with your back to the busstop? Of course a shelter against wind from sea but perhaps a bit unusual.
ReplyDeleteEstas melhorias são sempre bem vindas.
ReplyDeleteUm abraço e boa semana.

In a country with so much rain you need a shelter for sure! And no public phone anymore, here they are all gone too.
ReplyDeleteI guess with mobile phones there is no need for phone booths any more. Some buses have wi-fi connections now.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Interesting storytelling with photos Bill. I am impressed with the transformation.
ReplyDelete...a welcomed addition to your rainy part of the world.
ReplyDeleteThat phone booth shelter will make waiting for the bus a bit cozy!
ReplyDeleteMooie oplossing Bill, ziet er goed uit.
ReplyDeleteGroet Kees.
I would think that, in Ireland, all bus stops would have shelters. You aren't called the Emerald Isle for nothing.
ReplyDeleterelics of the past.
ReplyDeleteHello, the bush shelter is nice. Some people may still need those phones.
ReplyDeleteHappy Monday, enjoy your day and new week!
Hello Bill.
ReplyDeleteThe bus shelter is very beautiful! We have almost the same here!
Lovely pictures showing us this transformation!
Have a happy October!
Dimi...
It's hard to find a working phone booth these days. Turn 'em all into bus stop shelters I say!!
ReplyDeleteVery attractive but practical bus shelter.
ReplyDeleteShelters from the rain see especially important in your part of the world. I'm glad it's finally available.
ReplyDeleteLooks nice except for the sign :)
ReplyDeleteGreat series, Bill.
ReplyDeleteWhere is Superman going to CHANGE?
ReplyDeleteMB
That is quite a switch.
ReplyDeleteThat will certainly be welcomed by all of those waiting for a bus!
ReplyDeleteWell that's a good one for today's theme and I'm sure it's a change that many people welcome.
ReplyDeleteExcellent!
ReplyDeleteSo pleased you now have a bus shelter …
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
Now that is a very nice change!
ReplyDeleteSince mist folks these days have their own phones, a bus shelter seems more usefuk than a phone booth. Glad it’s finally done.
ReplyDeleteWhen I first saw the headline, I thought someone had figured out how to convert a pair of phone booths into a bus shelter.
ReplyDeleteA positive change.
ReplyDeleteThat's nice and neat transformation!
ReplyDeleteAt first I thought the old phone booths were being converted to a bus shelter.
ReplyDeleteThat is definitely a change everyone must be happy to see! Covered bus shelters are important here in Oregon as well -- we would feel right at home in your climate!
ReplyDeleteCHANGE . . .
ReplyDeleteNice bus shelter . . .
Phone booths . . . history . . .
Oh that's brilliant Bill, much more substantial and perfect for the theme ✨
