Topaz was purchased by the Canadian convenience store group Alimentation Couche-Tard (ACT). Circle K is the global fuel and convenience brand of ACT. This change doesn't affect the SuperValu grocery store just the petro station. This change happened about three weeks ago.
three days after I took the above photo, they changed the signage
the pile of old signage
the company that did the change
Always that change and always money driven. But good for the sign changers.
ReplyDeleteSão rápidos na mudança.
ReplyDeleteUm abraço e boa semana.

It all seems such a waste of time and money - though I suppose Irish Prestige Signs do very nicely out of all the take-overs and rebranding that happens everywhere these days.
ReplyDeleteYes one comes, one goes, but at least you still have a petro station.
ReplyDeleteHey Bill, zo'n verandering kan best wel eens ten goede komen.
ReplyDeleteGroet Kees.
We have Circle K since a few years. Places change name and owner all the time these days.
ReplyDeleteInteresting change and from cool blue to striking red! Nice shots
ReplyDeleteThese photos provide a good historical record. How many old brands and companies now no longer exist?
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
It is the Canadian invasion! Not to worry... we are rated as very polite people.
ReplyDelete...yep, I see Circle K here too!
ReplyDeleteFor certain . . . one thing that never stops . . . CHANGE . . .
ReplyDeleteHello, I have seen the Circle K around somewhere. Happy Tuesday, enjoy your day!
ReplyDeleteWow they don't waste time getting the signage changed Bill ☺
ReplyDeleteHello Bill.
ReplyDeleteWe don’t have Topaz or Circle here. But you can see shops changing brands!
Nice photo reportage ! Enjoy your day!
Dimi...
I buy my fuel at a Circle K, but it only says Circle K an the receipt, the actual gas station has another name.... can't think what it is right now.
ReplyDeleteThat Circle K looks very familiar to me!
ReplyDeleteChange is everywhere----sometimes for the good and other times............
ReplyDeleteMB
I see the price of fuel didn't change along with the sign. I'm not sure what the 1.38 equivalent is with the Canadian price.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh...Circle K! It's just like McDonalds, they are everywhere.
ReplyDeleteYes, they rebranded the old Mac's stores into Circle K here as well.
ReplyDeleteI would have thought that the Topaz was newer than the Circle K..
ReplyDeleteFunny how each country has different names, we have Z and Bp and Caltex and Mobile here.
ReplyDeleteVoilá! :-)
ReplyDeleteGreat captures! Did you camp out to catch them?
ReplyDeleteNice series of pictures.
ReplyDeleteI'm chuckling at Andy's comment...not to worry. The Canadians are very polite people.
