Lough Foyle, Moville co. Donegal
I've never seen hand-handles like that!
Looks solid. But I have to say that yesterdays posting have something similar with hundreds of stones on top of each other, and that is also lots of work put in to it. Happy new day! :-)
Have some sympathy for the little people trapped inside those posts!

Lost it's grip!
An absurd gate hanger which I have never seen the like of before.
I suppose they held on as long as they could! Very unique brackets for the gate & quite comical!
They've probably been holding on for a hundred years Bill, it was time! 😀
Ooops ! :)
I like the "hands" idea but it appears that the whole thing has deteriorated. I've never seen hands holding a fence or gate before.
Reminds me of a game of rock, paper scissors.
That's very different!
Oh dear! They certainly couldn't hold on hard enough!
Love the hands. Hope they can repair the gate
Too bad! I hope it gets restored!
The hands are so nice. Not funny the gate is broken now.
I can't quite see how the hands interacted with the wooden fence. They're certainly an interesting feature.
It always make me sad watching on things like this....
This is such a sad story.
What an unusual way to hold and stabilise a gate; guess it didn't work!
