I wonder if this truck was delivering or picking up these kegs. Were
they empty or full. Considering it was on a Monday morning, I assume
he was collecting the empties. There are at least eight pubs in town,
three in the area where the truck is. It's funny to see Budweiser here
where it's considered an import. Far from a good tasting beer in my opinion.
So, in my opinion Bud is OK, especially the original Czech Budweiser. The US is kind of s...! But maybe I did not taste some special Irish beers...
ReplyDeleteAnheuser-Busch was bought by Belgium and Brazil-based InBev in 2008. The King of Beers will change its name from "Budweiser" to "America" on labels for 12-oz. cans and bottles this summer through election season. The global economy sure has changed things.
ReplyDeleteAccording to Wiki, Moville counts 1481 inhabitants, urban. So 8 pubs is a fair number, 1 pub/185 people. You need a bigger truck.
ReplyDeleteWhat's interesting is that the cargo area of the truck is actually a flatbed, so you can see all the kegs. With so many other tasty options available, I'm not sure why anyone would go with Bud. C'est la vie!
ReplyDeleteIt would make sense that he'd be collecting empties.
ReplyDeleteThere's a Brazilian song that says:
ReplyDelete"Come and go
Are only two sides
Of the same journey
The train that arrives
It's the same train of departure
The time of the meeting
Is also farewell"
You are right about Budweiser. There are places here called "pubs" but none like in Ireland! Have a good week, Bill!
ReplyDeleteEither picking up the empties or restocking for the week ahead :) I'm not a beer drinker Bill, so will take your word on the Budweiser critique :)
