Oh, I hope they got overtime for that. These days with the holidays they go to painting the streets. There is always something to celebrate..somehow...anything to stop traffic.
... my big Advent and Christmas star still shines in the evening :-) and it looks so beautiful. I'm totally relaxed, because according to the old tradition, the Christmas season ends on Candlemas, this year on February 2nd.
Now it's just Winter! We stayed one season in an RV Park near Mobile Alabama..they undecorated the hall after Christmas and immediately replaced everything with Mardis Gras and Valentine's (even the Christmas Trees). I always thought that would be a good idea for anywhere -- just keep the holiday spirit going until the weather got good again.
It's time to remove them. It's almost February after all.
ReplyDeleteWell, on the other hand, there but 47 weeks more to come, an there will be Christmas again.

It was a long time! Wouldn't there be a quieter time?!; )) Nice day... Good week, Bill. Be careful with cold.
ReplyDeleteSe palpa el ambiente frío de la ciudad. Por aquí ya se han retirado las luces de Navidad.
ReplyDeleteIt is time for the decorations and lights to come down.. Take care, have a wonderful week!

ReplyDeleteIt's already February, it's time for the lights to go. :)
ReplyDeleteThe days are still so short so the lights will be missed, Bill.
ReplyDeleteGood to see that Ireland still moves with the same sense of urgency! :-)
ReplyDelete...some here still have their lights on.
ReplyDeleteRemoval of these lights marks the passage of the seasons. Now we look forward to Valentine's Day.
ReplyDeleteI was driving home last night and noticed that several houses still had Christmas decorations up.
ReplyDeleteA nice traffic snarl!

Yes, so sad. It was so nice to see the bright orange star my neighbor had on...
ReplyDeleteNor the dull time starts...
Awwww, I hate it when that happens. Love the lights!
ReplyDeleteShows people at work. Always a good thing.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure the year will zoom by and before we know it they will be back up again. :)
ReplyDeleteIt's always so much more fun putting up the lights. At least taking them down is easier!
ReplyDeleteAsi toca genial foto. Te mando un beso.

ReplyDeleteYes, sad. The neighbor took the star inside, too. Was always such a pretty greeting in the dark...

ReplyDeleteIt's somehow sad to see them come down ...
