being done on main street. It was supposed to be finished two months ago, no one knows what the problem is. The weather is not making it any easier. It was snowing again early in the morning, cold and windy.
I remember driving miles and miles, every now and then a sign announcing major road works (ahead), but no work(ers) to be seen. Some things just don't change.
Hi Bill! There has been construction on an overpass here for 3 years and it was supposed to be all finished 18 months ago. We're getting used to the delays I guess!
Doesn't seem to me the most appropriate time for that work but the public work planners don't take notice. Nice photo by the way.
ReplyDeleteHaving construction finish on time is becoming a rare sight.
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteThere are time we see road work happening everywhere. The snow would just make the work that much harder. Take care, have a happy day!
They can last for years!

Roadwork never seems to go as planned anywhere. Of course, it is challenging to work out if it's snow or rain interrupted.
ReplyDeleteOn time? Get serious!
ReplyDeleteOh, that's progress. Those chug holes keep coming back..no matter what, here. Nice work!
ReplyDeleteHola! no es raro que las obras se retrasen y mas en esta época. Saludos
ReplyDeleteHere they wait for tourist season to do the road work.
ReplyDelete...this is an endless job.
ReplyDeleteThe work never ends.
ReplyDeleteRoad work takes forever.
ReplyDeleteThat's a conundrum for sure, and only the crew knows anything (if indeed they do).
ReplyDeleteMaybe it's the shortages in construction materials or lack of workers...
ReplyDeleteThe inconvenience of road work is the same all over the world, and always seems to take longer than scheduled.
ReplyDeleteEverything seems to take longer than scheduled, Bill.
ReplyDeleteRoad work seems to take longer than planned every time.
ReplyDeleteThe new normal.
ReplyDeleteSame here. Ingo called he is "stuck" and it´ll take longer to get home....

ReplyDeleteSupongo lo peligroso que debe de ser que exista tanta nieve en la calzada.

ReplyDeleteFun Fun Fun - Better Them Than Us Mr Bill

Looks like Michigan. No, only the roads look like Michigan!
ReplyDeleteThe weather probably definitely isn't helping. Hopefully once Spring comes they will be able to finish it.
ReplyDeleteYeah, construction is the way to "stimulate" economy
ReplyDeleteThere is a lot going on out there...
ReplyDeleteA big slip right at the entrance to town sure bolloxed up traffic here. Took some big equipment to clear it. Wish I had gotten a picture of it.
ReplyDeleteRoadworks can sometimes take a time especially if the weather is bad.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
There is always something that needs to be done!
ReplyDeletethe least these workers could do is put up a little sign that informs the public as to what is gong on.
ReplyDeleteUy buena foto. Te mando un beso.
ReplyDeleteBuena foto te mando un beso. https://enamoradadelasletras.blogspot.com/
ReplyDeleteIt's freezing here too. Some roadworks as well.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
hope, they will finish soon...
ReplyDeletegreat shot
There are very annoying roadworks, it's good to have an open lane. With 'Fien' I don't feel like rotating at all!: ((
ReplyDeleteIt never snows here in Florida but *everything* takes longer than they say it will.
ReplyDeleteDe qualquer forma, proporcionou uma grande imagem, mas imagino o quanto transtorna o trânsito...
ReplyDeleteAbraço
