I must confess, curmudgeonly as it may be, that all of this hype for Christmas, which assails my senses earlier each year, is annoying, sometimes verging on obscene. I would prefer that the tree is left in the ground. What I would really prefer is no tree at all.
I think people should decorate themselves with lights and tinsel instead. That way they will spread cheer wherever they go; whereas a tree, real or not, is stationary.
Two different approaches to the theme of Christmas tree. Not much decoration except lights on the real tree. I would like to see the Killybegs tree lite. Bet is looks great.
Good morning!
ReplyDeleteThe first christmas tree is my style ...
Have a good day, Bill
Hmm, the ol' real vs. fake conundrum.
ReplyDeleteYou have got a camouflaged gms mast there.
ReplyDeleteI am old fashioned, I like the real tree... :)

ReplyDeleteGod bless.
...I'll go natural!
ReplyDeleteHi Bill.
ReplyDeletePersonally, I think a real tree is much more fun.
Greeting from Patricia.
So they look in daytime...hope you'll capture the views at night also! Great potential there.
ReplyDeleteBoth are great. Wish they would be up all throught the dark half of the year...
ReplyDeleteBoth should look wonderful in their ways... but i prefer the natural tree.
ReplyDeleteThey both have a place. I do love a good light display.
ReplyDeleteI think the real tree wins but they are both festive.
ReplyDeleteGood Eye Mr Bill
ReplyDeleteI do enjoy real trees but the metal ones are quite spectacular when lit up!
ReplyDeleteI would think the Killybegs tree would be very attractive when lit up at night.

ReplyDeleteThey are both lovely. I do like a real tree.
ReplyDeleteI like real tree's but I can see why both are nice.
ReplyDeleteEach has a place in a modern world.
ReplyDeleteInteresting. you mush show us when they are all lit up
ReplyDeleteMB
They are both lovely in their own way and the lights will brighten everyone's spirits!
ReplyDeleteI like the first best
ReplyDeletebut the other is probably just as nice in the evening when it shines
I love the 1st one :)
ReplyDeleteBoth will be nice all light up but I like the real one best!!
ReplyDeleteThe first is to my liking.
ReplyDeleteBoth will look lovely and each very different.
ReplyDeleteThe variety is nice, and it must be a wonderful sight too when all the lights are on.
ReplyDeleteI bet they are both beautiful with lights on.
ReplyDeleteMy preference would be for the real tree as the second one just doesn't evoke a Christmas frame of mind for me (sorry about the awful pun).
ReplyDeleteI prefer the first one !
ReplyDeleteI'm sure they both look great with their lights on … but I think the first one would be my favourite :)
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
I wonder how much say the work crews have in what sort of tree goes up.
