Too many wind turbines and the world will fly off this galaxy. How much electricity is used to keep all these turbines going round and round? Too much to pay to make the countryside look pretty.
I love wind turbines but I don't live close enough to any to know if they are so loud as some say. But there is something peaceful about watching them.
I don't get out into the countryside very often so don't see many of them. There is only one in the city that I see once in a while. They are controversial in many circles.
Opinions are split about them. They certainly don't contribute to the beautification of the landscape. But the windmills in La Mancha are also known to have served as enemies ;-)
They are everywhere in Australia too
ReplyDeleteNice pic
ReplyDeleteHa I agree with roentare indeed everywhere.
ReplyDeleteWe also have them everywhere.
ReplyDeleteThat looks SO peaceful...
ReplyDeletehugs
Donna
Old Dutch windmills are very pretty and become part of the landscape, giant wind turbines not so much.
ReplyDeleteDo people live in that house? It's going to be LOUD!

ReplyDeleteThe turbines are popping up all over the place. Take care, have a wonderful week!
ReplyDeleteWind energy is part of the power grind in Summerside too.

ReplyDeleteIt was a gray day for photographing the wind turbines. Wind is a wonderful source of environmentally friendly energy. Our power comes from them here.
ReplyDeleteThat sky is looking very heavy.
ReplyDeleteThat is a very lonely area on a very dull day.
ReplyDeleteOur turbines are red-white. And... today the sun is shining, wooo-hoo!
ReplyDeleteGreat capture, Bill!
ReplyDeleteThere are many turbines in our mountains too. I like them but they are controversial.

ReplyDeleteI wish I could express why that seems such a classic shot!
ReplyDeleteI think they are mesmerizing to watch.
ReplyDeleteGrey day, cloudy sky, probably windy - putting the wind turbines at work. I'm very much for wind energy alternative.
ReplyDeleteI've seen a few fields of them too
ReplyDeleteLovely landscape.
ReplyDeleteEs un genial paisaje. Te mando un beso.
ReplyDeleteI quite like them.
ReplyDeleteInteresting shot. I wonder if the humming noise from the turbines annoy the people living there.
ReplyDeleteWe have them here too.
ReplyDeleteI find myself agreeing with David ...
