I imagine Roddy's was the one sold, not the Guinness truck! Hope the new owners provide good quality fun and spirits. Thatch is definitely a good name for second establishment.
While visiting Ireland last summer, our tour guide explained the long history of thatched roofs and that the word eavesdropping came from Irish folk hiding (unbeknownst) under the neighbour's thatched roof to avoid the rain. Love that story (and all things Irish).
Love the hatchet roof
ReplyDeleteThese are your best photos ever - especially the first one with the delivery van.

ReplyDeleteThe Guinness sign on that van is classic Ireland, and I see it is parked in a no paring zone. Hope the Thatch restaurant has good food.

ReplyDeleteI love the Guinness quality team! From my window, I look down on the terrace of a bar here in Waikiki. The Irish Rose!
