These days, getting the supplies might be the biggest issue..and of course, the cost, but I am sure it was a beauty. I've seen houses like this in the hill country of Texas and they just sit and wait and nobody comes.
It was a pity they let it degrade to that point! Maybe problems with the heirs... And here I say goodbye for a short break. Health and all the best to you, dear friend. A hug. ☘️
Hi, Bill! I'm connecting with you from over at Victor's place. My husband enjoys photography, too. I'll be looking forward to getting your blog on a regular basis. Blessings!
I really like your photos Bill, a nice eye for the appeal of things others may walk past unnoticed. Ireland is on my "to visit" list. I have been to Dublin but that is not really what I want to see. I want the coast, the fields, the village pubs...
Hi Bill.
ReplyDeleteSometimes there is still something to be done.
Greetings from Patricia.
It's an oldie in need of some help
ReplyDeleteNeeds renovation as soon as posible....Especially in part of windows and the roof...have a nice day Bill ^^
ReplyDeleteA fixer upper for sure! Have a great new week!
ReplyDeleteThat would require lots of work!
ReplyDeleteWork to be done.
ReplyDeleteIt's a big house. Worth trying.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Looks sad.
ReplyDelete...other than the roof, it looks solid.
ReplyDeleteEn los días de lluvia, el agua entra en su interior, por los grandes huecos que hay en su tejado.
ReplyDeleteBesos.
It'd be a brave person who took that task on.

ReplyDeleteSad to see the old ones left to disintegrate!
ReplyDeleteThe masonry still looks sound...gut out all the wood and start over again...then nice roof. Hope that's a big grant!
ReplyDeleteForlorn comes to mind.

A new roof would get it on the way back to usable. Then an interior gut job & you would have a good shell, Bill.
ReplyDeleteWould be lovely fixed up!!
ReplyDeletehugs

With the roof gone, the rest of the structure is questionable. Would be easier to rebuild from the ground up. Too bad for the loss of a classic home.
ReplyDeleteThat one might be beyond saving.
ReplyDeleteIt's raining in
ReplyDeleteWas surely a nice house once
Lots of work and huge grants are needed for that one.
ReplyDeleteLove It When Homes Come With Skylights
ReplyDeleteCheers
If walls could talk.

ReplyDeleteBlessings!
that's been vacant for a long time.
ReplyDeleteWhat a pity for this once great looking house!
ReplyDeleteProbably better to tear it down and start over.
ReplyDeleteAh too bad. We have a few of these houses in my little town.
ReplyDeleteHope someone does redevelop it.
ReplyDeleteWhat a shame. Maybe tbe grant us in progress?
ReplyDeleteThat's sad to see
ReplyDeleteOh well, if the foundation and wall as sturdy would be ok to fix it up.
ReplyDeletehopefully, the owner will repair the roof soon...
ReplyDeleteThe house looks doubtful to live up to renovation! Perhaps left
ReplyDeleteA major project for sure. Pretty cool that there are grants available to rehabilitate old homes though.
ReplyDeleteCertainly a lot of work to be done!
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
Provavelmente terá que ser totalmente reconstruída!
ReplyDeleteMas os abandonos proporcionam sempre excelentes motivos fotográficos!
Um grande abraço!
Ana
