looks like an addition is being constructed on this home. The work seems to be stalled at this time, no workers or evidence of tenants.
obviously a new gate will be needed
and a pile of turf to be used
photos taken: 24/03 just before the lockdown on the 27th
Hi Bill.
ReplyDeleteToo bad it stands still.
It seems a nice place to live.
Greetings from Patricia.
Em fase de crescimento.

Sad to see so much coming to a halt. Here in our grocery store I was surprised baskets were allowed again. And people kept the distance at the cash out anyways - sadly only there...
ReplyDeleteWarm and sunny here - hope in your place, too, have a great day, Bill :-)
Interesting enlargement of a house, that turf is used for heating?
ReplyDeleteYes, it's for heating.
DeleteMuch still to be done. Maybe they ran out of money. It boggles the mind that peat is still being burned.
ReplyDeleteOkay new family member born just build a new room. I like that.
ReplyDeleteThis home needs lots of TLC.
ReplyDelete...you can't get a building permit here at the moment.
ReplyDeleteLet's hope it gets finished after the virus goes, well hopefully.
ReplyDeleteLooks a promising house.
Judging from the second photo, I think the workers are tired.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Hello, looks like a great addition to the home. I hope they are able to get it finished. Take care, wishing you a great day!
ReplyDeleteSomeone ran out of money :-(
ReplyDeleteI was very surprised at the interesting heating options in Ireland. But I think it takes a lot of work ...
Greetings and good Easter for you.
Did Covid stop construction? Everything is halted here.
ReplyDeleteHappens like that here, people build an extension. I did many years ago
ReplyDeleteGreat photos Bill. The addition matches the original architecture, and looks good. Housing construction is still allowed here in Connecticut US, despite our Lock Down, because it is considered an essential service.
ReplyDeleteMisschien hadden ze geen geld meer or maybe because of the coronavirus may no longer work there …
ReplyDeleteHave a nice afternoon Bill!
Lots of promise for that house. We still have construction crews at work in NC. I worry about them as a friend is concerned.
ReplyDeleteI like how they continued the style of the old building.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like they are doing a good job of matching up the new to the old.
ReplyDeleteLooks like the place has been around for a long time. It's been fairly well kept up.
ReplyDeleteSomeone's plans have gone out the window! Hopefully the delay won't be too long.
ReplyDeleteOh I wish they can go back to finishing it soon. But I have to say I love how the structure looks identical to the original portion, if it's finished I think it will look like it has been built the same time :)
ReplyDeleteLooks like a way to go on this one Bill, but it has so much potential, bet it will look amazing when finished. happy Easter weekend ✨
ReplyDeleteAll construction halted courtesy of the nasty virus. I wonder how we are all going to get back to normal, it's such a strange life right now. Happy Easter anyway.... stay safe, stay well, stay away from other people.
ReplyDeleteIt has a certain charm definitely.
ReplyDeleteDebe de quedar muy bien, cuando esté completamente restaurada.
ReplyDeleteBesos
Hopefully the house will be finished sometime because it can be very nice.
ReplyDeleteit'll be good to see it at the end.
ReplyDeleteConstruction looks almost finished. Just the details here and there. Interesting looking house.
ReplyDeleteI bet it will be a very nice home once it is completed.
ReplyDeleteThe symmetry is wonderful. It will be a lovely home. I wish we had peat here. I have such great memories of the scent.
ReplyDeleteAmazing how the world has been grounded.
ReplyDeleteIt may have been stalled for a while? It looks like there's some dampness seeping up into the new brickwork.
ReplyDeleteLooks like it will match whenever they finish it.
ReplyDeleteHope it becomes a beautiful house in future. Wish life turn back to normal soon.
ReplyDeleteIn our city, construction continues, which baffles me.
ReplyDeleteIn limbo like all of us...
ReplyDeleteDefinitely a work in progress.
