the green flag

means that this school is a participant of the Green School program.  Green-Schools is Ireland’s leading environmental management and education program for schools.
Promoting long-term, whole-school action for the environment Green-Schools is a student-led program with involvement from the wider community. The program is operated and co-ordinated by the Environmental Education Unit of An Taisce (The National Trust for Ireland).

  6. I cannot tell you how much I applaud this initiative. If children can grow up with an environmental conscience as part of their everyday life we may just be on the way to fixing some of the attitudes that are now so prevalent. And maybe the kids will bug their parents to do the right thing too.
