I think tattoos are awesome if done correctly, some are a real creative work of art. I don't understand though why people get them done on their faces as its not a good first impression, but each to their own :-)
I think that the trend of tattoos in western cultures in the past decade is very interesting. Because other countries have had them as part of their own culture for a variety of reasons, I understand and think it is quite fascinating. But, since we do not consider tats based on religious or economic reasons etc., I am at a loss at their popularity. Many are artistic, some are mysterious and some seem a bit crass or vulgar. Well, I guess, to each his own, but I am not a big fan. The one you picture just seems a bit silly, perhaps vane, on the man's part. Personally, I think it's a little creepy.
I know that everyone has different opinions when it comes to tattoos...I personally am not a fan of them. This one looks a bit scary, and especially since it is on his face.
yeeps -- something tells me I would just as soon not get acquainted with this fellow. We see so many tattoos and piercings here in Eugene .... I really hate to see face ones especially. (But I am in the wrong demographic obviously and nobody cares!)
...Bill, there are a bunch that are more strange than this out there. I will never understand this tattoo stuff.

ReplyDeleteHi Bill.
ReplyDeleteTaste is so personal, but the tattoo has been successful.
Groettie from Patricia.
Nice spotted Bill but it is indeed difficult to understand why somebody would want that.
ReplyDeleteTattoos on faces are the worst....:(
ReplyDeleteI find such tattoos quite scary...
ReplyDeleteHe can always grow a beard if he's tired of it ;)

ReplyDeletePeople with tattoos on their faces will have difficulty in finding certain jobs. This trend reached a new level... not necessarily a good thing.
ReplyDeleteI hope he never has any regrets about it.
ReplyDeleteI've never understood the appeal of it, but something like that? Aside from working at a tattoo parlour, that's going to be tough finding work.
ReplyDeleteOh my, yes that is a strange one. I find it strange to see tattoos on faces anyway.

ReplyDeleteI'm sure he's a lovely man but yikes! Excellent capture Bill!

ReplyDeleteinteresting....but disconcerting
ReplyDeleteYou'll get no argument from me on that one! And the fellow has an expression to go with it, too.
