Like a bird on the wire, like a drunk in a midnight choir I have tried in my way to be free. Like a worm on a hook, like a knight from some old fashioned book I have saved all my ribbons for thee. If I, if I have been unkind, I hope that you can just let it go by. If I, if I have been untrue I hope you know it was never to you. Leonard Cohen
Thanks to Kate for posting the words to Birds on a Wire..... Leonard Cohen is (sadly was) one of my heros. Birds always sit far enough apart so that they can spread their wings when someone gives the signal to fly.
Um belo "condomínio".
ReplyDeleteUm abraço e bom fim-de-semana.

..."Bird on a Wire"...nice song.
ReplyDeleteBirds love countries were the wires are still in the air and not under the ground. Nice observation Bill.
ReplyDeleteYes, they always have a lot to tell each other! They often use the wires here too for a meeting.
ReplyDeleteIs Alfred Hitchcock near by?

ReplyDeleteBird On The Wire - Poem by Leonard Cohen
Like a bird on the wire,
like a drunk in a midnight choir
I have tried in my way to be free.
Like a worm on a hook,
like a knight from some old fashioned book
I have saved all my ribbons for thee.
If I, if I have been unkind,
I hope that you can just let it go by.
If I, if I have been untrue
I hope you know it was never to you.
Leonard Cohen
How many of us are thinking about 'The Birds' right now?!
ReplyDeleteThey must have had a lot to discuss.
ReplyDeleteWhat did you do to them? Maybe their screeching was due to that big bird just above them?
ReplyDeleteThey are enjoying the sun!
ReplyDeleteNice colour in that sky!
ReplyDeleteA handy perch for them.

ReplyDeleteReally nice photo of the birds in a flap!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you are enjoying some beautiful weather!
ReplyDeleteMakes me think of that Leonard Cohen song - like a bird on a wire I have tried in my way to be free.
ReplyDeleteLike in the movie of Hitchcock's Birds… :)
ReplyDeleteLine up and wait.
ReplyDeletePerhaps they will head over to Scandinavia?
