ship and church

the church in the background is St. Mary of the Visitation.  During the warmer seasons this area is packed with ships.  This is a fishing ship not a passenger one.  The passenger ships dock way on the other side about a 15 minute walk from here.  The building on the left is a storage and working area.

  1. Nice new banner, Bill! Bet Ingo´d love to visit - I´m sadly not into fish...

  2. Mary of the Visitation - sounds like she’s dropping by for coffee!

  3. Complicated piping on that ship, but it's a nice combination with that church, Bill. I can't tell whether I'm looking at the side or the back.

  5. Fresh caught fish and seafood are the best :-) Used to go to places like this to buy seafood from the fishermen.

  10. Now I wonder (being that kind of thinker) what the difference between a ship and a boat is...thinking of fishing boats usually, rather than ships!
