  4. Real shame about that tree wearing all green too. Those storms lately are killing a lot of them.

  5. The roots of trees are often surprisingly shallow and wind damage of this nature is not unusual.

  6. Sad to see but that is nature. I like the tree behind it :-D

  7. At least it wasn't in your back yard. We have some trees in our neighborhood that this easily happens to during a storm or just the wind. Great shot!

  8. We see many trees down like this in the forest next to our home.
Take care, have a great day and a happy weekend.

  9. That poor tree didn't have much of a root system to hold it up in a strong wind. Now that it is down it might become home to a whole ecosystem of insects and animals.

  10. It is pretty big, and must still have something feeding those green branches, for there doesn't seem to be much of a hole it came out of...or maybe we just don't see it, and perhaps it did happen just a short while ago so the branches haven't had a chance to die yet.

  11. It's always sad to see a tree come down. This one looks like its roots were a bit shallow.

  12. What a pity! Why has the tree fallen? It's a beautiful tree.

  13. That's a massive root ball! Did it occur from strong winds?

  14. We've had quite a few trees brought down by strong winds over the past couple of months.
