Laurel and Hardy

window display,  Came across these guys when I was out walking.  My grandmother used to love watching these guys on tv back when I was a kid.

glass recycling bins

this place is usually pretty messy with glass broken pieces.  Looks like it was tidied up a bit.

saturday critters

saw these sheep from the main street bridge.  As soon as I took this photo, they all stopped and decided to head out.  Maybe they were trespassing and creating a mess. :)

mister clipboard man

noticed this postal guy walking around with his clipboard and taking some notes.  He walked both sides of the street for about an hour.  Have no idea what he was doing.  Maybe he's a new hire, never saw him before.  I took the photo on Wed.

I guess checking your phone is high priority no matter where you are.

a dash of colour

among these drab looking buildings.  Our local computer guy is located back here and I noticed the blue bags standing out as I left.  The lime green thing on the left is some kind piece of metal.

price increase

the price of a pint has increased by 7 cents excluding VAT. Guinness 0.0 has increased by nine cents per pint, excluding VAT.  Once VAT, duty and the pub margin are added it could result in an extra 30 cents for a pint – meaning Guinness could be well over €6 in many pubs and more than €7 in Dublin, according to Drinks Industry Ireland.

It’s the fourth price rise in two years.  It's getting pretty spendy

tractor

waiting for our bus yesterday, this tractor went whizzing by.  This area is usually conjested with traffic so you don't see tractors here very often.  It was a nice sunny day with an actual blue sky and you don't see that too often either.

the big tree

down by the kid's playground at Killybegs harbour.  Not sure what kind of tree it is but it's usually packed with birds in the spring.

the paper stop

is in the process of being renovated.  It began in Sept and currently they are working up where the roof used to be.  From one of the locals, this building has been vacant for the last 10 years.  The roof had holes in it and the floors were filled with tons of rubbish which they spent weeks removing and filling the skips.  I have no idea what this building will become but it is going to take a lot more time to finish the project.
