My milk ran out! I take the bike - 2 km there - 2 km back. --- We don't have a milkman - we've actually never had one before :-)) but the bottles in front of the door look great, I hope it doesn't get sour in the summer, the milk :-)))
I've noticed that a lot of people still have groceries delivered to their door even though there is a huge supermarket less than a block away. It's interesting.
Ingo back in the day went to the farmer with a milk can and got fresh milk for his baby Brother... These days with "Hello fresh"... hm... not sure what to think about that.
Yes, I see the delivery van sometimes in the morning.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Nice. A bit like how I shop as I get all my groceries delivered to my door!
ReplyDeleteSame here - people living right next-door to the shop have their milk delivered.
ReplyDeleteTo each his own, I suppose.
ReplyDeleteOh goodness, maybe they can't walk or something like that.
ReplyDeleteBeen a long time since milk was delivered to our doorstep.
...here, this is ancient history.
ReplyDeleteCan't get that here, I doubt doordash would do this.
ReplyDeleteIt has been about 70 years since milk was delivered door to door in the U.S. I am surprised to see this still exists.
ReplyDeleteThat is a blast from the past, Bill. We do get beer delivered though. ;-)
ReplyDeletethere hasn't been milk delivery here for many years...50 maybe.
ReplyDeleteMy milk ran out!
ReplyDeleteI take the bike - 2 km there - 2 km back.

ReplyDeleteAs a child, I recall our milk being delivered from a local dairy. I loved to wave at the milkman from my window. Great memories!
ReplyDeleteA scene not seen much any more.
ReplyDeleteI am have not seen milk delivered since I was a child. Take care, enjoy your day!
ReplyDeleteNice! We pick up our milk at the farmers market now. So good!
ReplyDeleteI guess it is what they are used to!

ReplyDeleteNo cuesta tanto trabajo caminar y entrar a comprar en el establecimiento.
ReplyDeleteUn abrazo.
Very nice service
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't recommend delivery to people living on their own. Sometimes, delivery people can be problematic.
ReplyDeleteI'd want to go out in the fresh air to buy some.
ReplyDeleteBoa noite, obrigado pela visita e comentário. Aqui no Rio de Janeiro, não temos essa prática. A foto ficou incrível.
ReplyDeleteDoesn't happen around here anymore.
ReplyDeleteThe door is a classic. In time of high cost of living, I cant understand why people do not want to save the delivery fee
ReplyDeleteNostalgia.
ReplyDeleteGenial foto, te da nostalgia. Te mando un beso.
ReplyDeleteNice that they still deliver.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
Home delivery is the order of the day!
ReplyDeleteWe haven't had milk delivery in decades. Those were fun days.
