library

our local library opened up yesterday for the first time in over a year,  It was strange to be inside walking around and browsing again but we did find some books to take home with us.   The library is housed in the old Church of Ireland building along with the tourist information centre and a cafe both of which will reopen soon.

  6. That's great! I've been fortunate to keep working at the library during the pandemic. We did have a couple months we were closed to the public. Then we did curbside pickup for a while. Last August we opened back up to the public here in the heartland with lots of restrictions, of course.

  9. Our library system is presently curbside pick up only. Since Covid there have been times when some branches have been open, but with reduced hours and lots of restrictions.

  13. Congratulations, I hope that the opening of this library can attract a lot of visitors to keep reading and learning new things. Wow, it's interesting that books in the library can be brought home, are there certain conditions to bring books home from the library?

  16. For the past year or more our Library has only had curbside pickup. A few weeks ago it opened to the public and once again we could browse the shelves for new books. Perfect use for this old church.

  24. Well that's good new then that it's open. Rather a big outing I imagine, I know it would be for me if place was closed for a year.
