our local library opened up yesterday for the first time in over a year, It was strange to be inside walking around and browsing again but we did find some books to take home with us. The library is housed in the old Church of Ireland building along with the tourist information centre and a cafe both of which will reopen soon.
A sign of hope things will get better.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
We have that honor today.Nice combination of functions in that building.
ReplyDeleteWonderful... good news is always welcome.
ReplyDelete...an inviting place!
ReplyDeleteGood news, something is starting to change.
ReplyDeleteNice building.
Our libraries are still open for kerbside pick up only of items that have been preordered.
ReplyDeletenice i love books
ReplyDeleteThat's great! I've been fortunate to keep working at the library during the pandemic. We did have a couple months we were closed to the public. Then we did curbside pickup for a while. Last August we opened back up to the public here in the heartland with lots of restrictions, of course.
ReplyDeleteHi Bill.
ReplyDeleteNice that it is open again.
Greetings from Patricia.
Good news is happening! Yay for a return to libraries.
ReplyDeleteOur library system is presently curbside pick up only. Since Covid there have been times when some branches have been open, but with reduced hours and lots of restrictions.
ReplyDeletewhat a great combination, library, information center for tourists, and cafe! I'd just move in there!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful building. I'm glad you are able to go in and get books again!
ReplyDeleteGood news!
ReplyDeleteYay for openings, a back to normal, enjoy your books, Bill! And the freedom, as small as it comes.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, I hope that the opening of this library can attract a lot of visitors to keep reading and learning new things. Wow, it's interesting that books in the library can be brought home, are there certain conditions to bring books home from the library?
ReplyDeleteglad to hear....
ReplyDeleteWonderful to hear, Bill! Things are getting back to a bit of normal for you.
ReplyDeleteGood use of an old building. I haven't been in our library for over a year.
ReplyDeleteFor the past year or more our Library has only had curbside pickup. A few weeks ago it opened to the public and once again we could browse the shelves for new books. Perfect use for this old church.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about feeling strange. There are so many things to get used to again.
ReplyDeleteThis is a good news👏👏 and library looking very historical as you said 🙏

Well that's good new then that it's open. Rather a big outing I imagine, I know it would be for me if place was closed for a year.
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen a building like that being used for a library but I'm happy for you it's open again.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds good and a nice step towards the normal state. Pretty library
