saturday critters

passed this little terror on my walk, he came out of nowhere barking like crazy.  I didn't see him at first but his bark got my attention and it caught me by surprise, I wasn't ready for him.  I think my heart skipped a beat. :)

  3. There used to be a small ferocious dog near me that came out barking evry time I walked past. Then one day the gate was left open; the dog came rushing out, saw the open gate and slunk back in the house again!

  4. Hi Bill.

Sometimes you are very shocked when a dog suddenly comes running barking.

  12. He's cute, but he doesn't look friendly. My heart would've skipped a beat, too, if I suddenly heard an unseen dog barking.

  19. Remarkable how a barking dog can be such a shock, even though one should be used to it. I wonder if the reaction is one of those instincts that people still have (but have fewer of them than critters other than ourselves have).

  20. "I'm a very fierce animal, beware!!!" he was saying with all his barks. Too bad you had exactly the reaction he wanted! But you fooled him, taking his photo and sending it out silently in your blog.

  38. I am not a fan of barking dogs. I know, people who don’t love everything about every dog are highly suspect, but I have to admit to it.
