The toucan bird was introduced by Guinness in 1935, I believe & is still popular I see! Publicans in Ireland were often referred to as "spirit grocers". This van has it all!
Actually, I think this kind of advertising is rather effective. It's casual and undemanding and gets your name out in public. Of course, if people hate your product they may drive you into a tree! :)
