with the weather fluctuating between being warm for a few days, then cold and warm again, these bulbs are popping up in the town's planters. As I type this the temperature is 8C (46F) and raining.
Looks like Crocus popping up. They probably will be fine. Our tulips (due to come up in April) are also poking up but I think Ma Nature with keep them in check. MB
Those little noses coming up from the soil give hope that spring isn't too very far away. It doesn't feel like it here, though. It got down to 18 degrees F last night and today it's barely above freezing in the shade.

Snow in my area this morning everything is white.
ReplyDeleteIt's been so mild the bulbs are thinking early spring!
ReplyDeleteAh what a wonderful sight again!
ReplyDeleteHope they make it.
ReplyDelete...it's not good to fool Mother Nature!
ReplyDeleteSeems quite earlier for bulbs to be sprouting. Good for you for getting out in that weather and taking pictures!
ReplyDeleteStrange January...!
ReplyDeleteI'll bet the warmer weather is nice, though, right? We get something of the same here but not to the same extremes.
ReplyDeleteSigns of spring! We are having the same day as you today!
ReplyDeleteWe're going in the opposite direction, after two or three days being around the freezing mark, the temperatures are going to plunge by tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteThank you. This is so beautiful. Love it.
ReplyDeleteIt was like that here yesterday but the temps are heading down this afternoon. It is now -4˚C at 3 pm.

ReplyDeleteWhat?!
ReplyDeleteWonder what they will grow up into!
ReplyDeleteI hope they don't get frostbit!
ReplyDeleteYou are so far north but the Gulf Stream moderates your climate. Makes me think of Joyce's line the snow was general all over Ireland . . .
