drivers just hate being behind a tractor even out in the rural areas. On a bigger road, the tractor will usually pull over and let the traffic pass by.
I'm heading down to Sligo today so I can have cataract surgery Tuesday morning.
Urgency has never been part of the farm worker's psychological make up. My mother's life was transformed by cataract surgery, she could never understand why she'd put it off for so long.
Slow tractors have been a problem on rural roads for man years. But just think, after Tuesday you'll be able to see them much better. I've had cataract surgery on both eyes and it made a huge difference. One thing they don't tell you, though, is that after about a year, a bit of "film" or "scar tissue" comes back and you'll have to undergo another procedure. It's minor and no big deal; just a nuisance.
Cataract surgery is the best thing ever Bill.. seriously it's like getting your eyesight back again! Will send positive vibes tomorrow, not that you'll need them 😊
Good luck with the surgery. I just had dinner last night with a friend who had the surgery last week. She said she's amazed at how much better she can see.
I've driven a fair amount in rural Ireland. I worry more about the menacing hedgerows that form a wall on the side of the road and what I should do when a big lorry approaches me.
Cataract surgery! Good luck. I had my regular eye exam a week ago and was told I should have cataract surgery. I have my first evaluation by a specialist in about two weeks. If you have to have surgery, it is the best kind to have. Most of the time you come out seeing better than you have in decades. I know your surgery will go well.
Oh, I'll be thinking of you tomorrow. It is performed under local anesthesia?
