Passed this yard boat on the coastal walk last week and it was being cleaned out and a new coat of white paint was being applied to the cabin and blue paint for the trim. The paint probably doesn't last more than a season or two due to the weather conditions. This is the result and it looks good, nice and neat but unfortunately it still won't be able to float. :)
Those houses you see in the background are holiday homes which means they are rented for outrageous fees for a week or more depending on availability.
No doubt the kids love playing in that
ReplyDeleteA fun feature & nicely spruced up for now!
ReplyDeleteNice, the children like it. We have something like this on every second playground.
ReplyDeleteJust like our fellow blogger in Bergen, we have boats like this out in playgrounds at kindergartens etc.
ReplyDeletePS. I wish you had said there are reasonable priced holiday homes round. I guess I will have to look for a cottage or B&B. Ireland is on my list of 22 places to go.. :)
Near the lakes in this area I find old boats that have been turned into planters filled with flowers.
ReplyDeleteIt is probably cheaper to have a yard boat than one that floats.
ReplyDeleteThat's one of the more unique yard decorations that I've seen. Fun and funky. I wouldn't mind staying a week or two in one of those homes on the hill. Probably couldn't afford it, though!
ReplyDeleteQuite a fun decoration to have in the yard, though!
ReplyDeleteI'm with Lowell, I've never seen such a yard decoration before. Cool !
ReplyDeleteFunny idea for a yard decoration!
ReplyDeleteWe both have a nautical theme today. :)
That is a new concept for me too!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea for a sit out on the coast!
ReplyDeleteIt's even rigged for fishing. No doubt there are some children who may be cultivated for a seafaring life.
ReplyDeleteA yard boat? Here people put old tractors in their yard.
ReplyDeleteA embarcação ficará bonita e as casas me parecem muito agradáveis. Uma bela foto. O que eu gosto de apreciar aqui, é o fato de que as fotos tem sempre um história do cotidiano.
