The entrance gate to the park using the The Bernard McGlinchey Town Park name.
The wall with the Letterkenny Town Park name is to the left of the gate and completes the using of both names as you enter the park.
The park area is circular and allows people to walk around it similar to a track.
Just in case you need some extra energy, there is a bakery on site, just follow the arrow :)
If there are kids or adults playing in the middle area don't worry, seats are available and built in so you can sit and watch.
A partial view of Letterkenny from the park.
The spire you see is the Cathedral of St. Eunan and St Columba.
Lots of grass to be cut there! All as green as I would expect in your part of the world.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the stone work!!
ReplyDelete(So green. Yes, I know it is Ireland:)
Green spaces like this are invaluable in big towns etc & this one is very well kept. Loved your pictures around it.
ReplyDeleteThe park pictures are marvelous!!
ReplyDeleteNice well kept park and free from silly notices like 'Keep off the grass' that can be see in some places. Good to see a play area for the children too and is that a formal garden behind the hedge ?
ReplyDeleteThe park is nice, but nothing is natural. Everything is trimmed and cropped. All are equal.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful gateway! The grass is so nice and green, our dry weather has turned everything brown.
