and the sign asked

people to rate their toilet facilities.  I saw this when I was in Sligo's train station.  Never seen anything like this before or since.   Just press a button on your way out and register your opinion.  Yes, I was happy :)

milk crisis

The President of the Irish Farmers Association says dairy farms are facing a crisis due to the current weather conditions.  A rising number of farmers throughout the country are at risk of large financial losses as their milk cannot be collected due to snow and ice on roads.  Consumers could be impacted as farmers may be forced to dispose of stored milk if it is not collected urgently.  Hopefully the crisis can diverted asap.

waiting for some sun

this poor plant could use a little sunshine just like the rest of us.  The icy footpath melted a little today but not a lot of people outside.  It has been  quiet except for the howling wind.

the beast

of the east as it is known here has dropped his calling card.  Starting snowing last night (Wed), everything is closed and the entire country is on a red status warning.  No buses, trains, planes, nothing!  Emma visits us tomorrow with more snow, high gale winds and freezing temps.  It's crazy weather time.

the truck was backing down this steep driveway and was sliding a bit but he made it.
