Mrs. B's coffee house

in Killybegs.  Never understood why it has a teapot hanging on the coffee house building,  They also have great baked goods there too.

a walk on the beach

warren beach located in Inver, co. Donegal.  Went there for a walk the other day with our friend and Finn the dog.   It was very windy and cold.  Not many people to see on the beach so it was nice and quiet except for the sound of the wind.

A view of main street in Killybegs.  The building on the right is the Tara Hotel and on the other side of it is where people can catch the bus.  Across the street is Centra, a small grocery store and the tall white building is Sweet News, a small shop that sells stationary, cards, books, ice cream and coffee.  Killybegs pier is right across the street if you turn around.

Melly's, a few doors down from Centra where you can enjoy the best fish and chips in town.  The place in the back is Seawinds, a bed and breakfast.  We stayed there 10 years ago when we first came to Killybegs.

ship and church

the church in the background is St. Mary of the Visitation.  During the warmer seasons this area is packed with ships.  This is a fishing ship not a passenger one.  The passenger ships dock way on the other side about a 15 minute walk from here.  The building on the left is a storage and working area.

off the farm

these tractor owners drop off their kids at school which is across the road.  Seeing someone drive a tractor around town is not unusual but I imagine it could be a bit spendy.

working in the rain

saw this guy working on the house in the rain on my way home.  I have no idea what he was doing.  It was a bad day to be working outside so hopefully it was quick work.

killybegs harbour

down at the harbour,  I like seeing all the different colours of the ships.  This is only a part of the harbour, there are many more ships docking on the other side which is behind me.  It's interesting when it is crowded because you can watch the ships dock up, much more complicated than parking a car but they make it look easy.

Benroe

the view across from Killybegs Harbour.  Benroe most commonly refers to a scenic area near Killybegs in County Donegal, Ireland, known for properties like the holiday rental Benroe House and for scenic building sites, offering views of Killybegs Harbour and access to the Wild Atlantic Way.

first snow

of the year, not much but it does have its problems with the roads and people driving.  Icy roads, bus cancellations.  Good time to stay home and enjoy the warmth of indoors.
