wildfire risks

there was a gorse fire a few miles from Bunbeg yesterday.  The Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine has issued a Fire Danger Notice, Condition Orange, for all areas where hazardous fuels such as gorse, heather, dried grasses, and other vegetation exist.

  11. There have been so many wildfires in the US in the last few years, mainly in California. I lived at the edge of a state forest for 20 years and one of their controlled burns got out of control and almost reached us (300 yards) We had already been evacuated. It was very scary! The house had just been built a few months before and we thought we were going to loose it. Thankfully they got it put out just before it was too late.

  12. It has been a very dry spring here, and we have had high winds making grass fires a real threat. Nebraska has had prairie fires, and Colorado has had forest fires. This is going to be a bad year for fire. Hope you can stay safe.

  22. There's usually a lot of very old dry material with these plants and fires do well with this fuel.

Por cá, decorreu até 30 de Abril, a época de tratar dos terrenos mais problemáticos, que possam apresentar perigo!
