transporting

the last of the blades and turbines to the Oweninny wind farm development in north Mayo.  It took a few months to get them all there.  They started transporting them in Janusry.  The photos were taken on the 16th of May.

  5. ...years ago I was going down a small country road and got in a traffic jam of trucks transporting these blades. They sure were long!

  12. Looks not a easy task to transport these huge blades... i have seen such blades being transported in trucks in highways here and they move slowly on the left lane. Nice shots

  20. Bill, I've seen wind farms from a distance, and I knew the blades were long; but I had NO idea they were anywhere near this long! I always love your photos.
