signs

I have walked by this building numerous times and I never noticed the hand until a few weeks ago.  It's on the side of the Ulster Bank building, which makes sense, given the iconography of the coat of arms of Ulster.

    Great photo of the hand on the building. (I'm very unobservant. I have to force myself to look all around, otherwise I miss plenty of interesting sites as I'm walking.)

    The Red Hand is a symbol of Ulster and the Clan O'Neill. It might have something to do with being on the right hand of God. The Red Hand as a symbol goes back before Christian times. Nicely balanced photo.
