  1. Looks smoky indeed but no peet is used I assume?

  2. It does seem a little hazy and smoky. Don't know enough about your area to understand the possible origin of the pollution.

  3. Mooie foto Bill, maar inderdaad niet gezond.

  4. I agree! Hopefully some fresh winds from the sea will blow it all away.

  5. I hope the sky cleared up soon. Nice photo, Bill.

  6. Dear Bill, you've got to quit smoking those Cubano cigars! Sheesh! Seriously, though, where is all the smoke coming from? I've heard the air is so bad in places in China people drop dead walking down the street. Probably an exaggeration but not by much.

  7. Hazy days can be good for photography, but have serious drawbacks for those with health issues.

  8. I hope the wind picks up soon. That looks serious, Bill!

    1. People burning wood, peet or coal. It can get pretty bad when there is no wind at all.

  10. I live at the edge of a forest and they "control burn" every so often. It can get really hazy & smoky.

  11. Oh, so people still use peet. I'm sure that's not easy for anyone to breathe, especially when there aren't any breezes.

  12. Do you get a damp cold over there or is it like a dry cold? In various parts of NZ this changes.

    1. We get a damp cold all the time. A lot of the time especially now, it's rain a lot of the time with a cold windy chill.
