watch out

Some of the snow and sleet gathered on the roofs began sliding off last night.  You have to be careful  where you walk.

  2. Hi Bill.

Snow is beautiful to see, but also dangerous for sliding out.

  7. You do have to be careful this time of year. When I worked in Chicago is a sky-scraper that has a diamond shaped slanted roof. During the snowy season they used to have to close the sidewalk below that roof because of sliding snow and ice.

  11. Not what I expect to see there, Bill! We have had no snow here yet but it is supposed to come in tomorrow night.

  12. Something we're quite familiar with here, Bill. We got snow in the night again. This might be the one that sticks around.

  13. Brrrr! One of my least favourite parts of winter is walking on icy surfaces...I shuffle like penguin. It seems to help.

  14. Yeah, that would be quite a surprise to walk under a load of falling snow! I don't even think I could walk through it anymore -- out of practice.

  16. I've been to Ireland several times but I suppose not it winter. Still, this is surprising. Is the Gulf Stream weakening?

  17. I whine about our cold weather but at least so far we haven't had to deal with this icy misery. Stay safe and warm!
