  1. Good Morning! Such an interesting row of buildings. Always bittersweet when a business closes. Wishing you a nice day.

  2. You'd have thought a Gift Shop might have held out till Christmas. Sad to see small businesses closing down everywhere.

  3. Its the same everywhere. Small shops are pushed out of business in favor of the internet shops. A real pity for the people that will see, feel and fit first before deciding to buy.

  6. Owning a gift shop or a small business is always taking a risk. Hope that it is not because of lack of customers. I agree with Mildred about the street; looks like there are other more successful shops?

  9. The end of an era. Interesting to see benches on the sidewalk so people can stop.

  10. That's a shame. Perhaps a new owner will open up again in the spring to catch the tourist season.

  13. Well, that's sad. I'd guess the shop has been there for some time, too. Do you know why it's closing down?

  18. Not an easy business to survive in, especially in smaller towns where people can turn to the internet.

  19. Aww ... it looks like it was a nice place too. So much competition from the Internet these days, it is a wonder that any board and brick business, big or small, can manage to stay alive.

  20. Always sad to see a small business close. Especially this time of year. Maybe the owners were retiring. Love that view down the street.
